Hi! I'm Üla — an Argentine graphic designer & illustrator, currently living in Buenos Aires.

Maca-Lateulade_Ula-bn-1

I’ve studied Graphic Design at UADE and complemented my training taking different workshops of illustration, typography & editorial design at Espacio Virgen and El Gato Verde.

During my 20s I worked for different studios, such as ImagenHB and Good Knife. I also led, for 4 years, the branding team of a global technology company. However, during all that time I’ve never stopped working on freelance projects and collaborating with other design-studios around the world, as I do nowadays.

As I started designing I was interested in simple forms and complex messages; on how to communicate with less elements and more impact.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still into it to this days. Nevertheless, as time went on I discovered — especially as I delved into my tastes and inner self — that I enjoy creating things that look simple but have layers of other little things. As a kaleidoscope, I like pieces in which something transforms and takes on another meaning when you look at it from another perspective, with another attention.
